The SAME-CRAFTSMAN Anweshak award is sponsored by M/s Craftsman Automation Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore. This award is given for the outstanding fundamental and applied work done in the areas of design, development and manufacturing of aerospace materials, components, sub-systems and systems. The nominee for the SAME-CRAFTSMAN Anweshak Award shall be an Indian citizen in the age group of 40 to 60 years and be at least a graduate in any engineering discipline from a recognized institution/ University and have a minimum of 15 years of experience.
This award carries a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/- and a citation.

The award is instituted by the Society of Aerospace Manufacturing Engineers (SAME) and carries a cash price of Rs.20,000/- and a citation.
This award is given for the outstanding contributions in the production technology, productivity improvement, quality related activities, managerial skills and indigenization in the areas of aerospace materials, critical manufacturing and testing machines/ equipments, components, sub-systems and systems, facilities maintenance and operations.
The nominee for the SAME Prodyogiki award shall be an Indian citizen in the age group of
35 – 60 years and will have minimum qualification of Diploma/ Graduation in any engineering branch from a recognized institution with a minimum experience of 10 years in the field of aerospace manufacturing.
In this category there are three awards.

The SAME-ANKIT Prodyogiki award is sponsored by M/s. Ankit Fasteners, Bangalore, SAME-ARF Prodyogiki award is sponsored by M/s ARF Industries, Chennai, SAME-WIL Prodyogiki award is sponsored by M/s Walchandnagar Industries, Walchandnagar and SAME-AVDEL Prodyogiki award is sponsored by M/s Avdel Aerospace, Mumbai.
These awards are to recognize the outstanding contributions by any one (preferably
SAME member) in the areas mentioned in para 2 above.
Each award carries a cash prize of
Rs 15,000/- and a citation.
The Udyamik Award is conferred to technicians/ shop floor practitioners for their innovative and significant contributions in manufacturing, operations, maintenance and quality control.
The nominee for the Udyamik Award shall be an Indian citizen and in the age group of 35 – 60 years and be at least ITI Certificate holder or degree in any science branch, with minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
In this category, there are two awards;
4.1 SAME- GIL Udyamik Award
4.2 SAME-SVAMEEI Udyamik Award
The SAME-GIL Udyamik Award is sponsored by M/s Gauges Industries Ltd, Bangalore, and the SAME-SVAMEEI Udyamik Award is sponsored by Sri Venkateswara Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Industries, Hyderabad.
These awards are to recognize the outstanding contributions by any one (preferably SAME member) in the areas mentioned in para 4 above.
Each award carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000/- and a citation.
The medal is awarded to small / medium scale industries in India in recognition of their outstanding contributions in the field of aerospace manufacturing. The medal is instituted by the Society of Aerospace Manufacturing Engineers (SAME).
The awardees will be selected by a five member national level selection committee constituted by NGC of SAME and drawn from major aerospace institutions. The selection committee may constitute, if required, sub-committees to get independent views from two or three expert members outside the selection committee in the specific field for first cut screening process. If any member of the selection committee is to be considered for the award, he shall cease to be member of the selection committee for that year.
Nominations for Anweshak, Prodyogiki, Yuva Anweshak and Udyamik awards are invited from companies, research organizations, educational institutions of eminence, Universities etc. and shall be submitted in Format-A, duly sponsored by the Head of the Institution.
Nominations for SAME Gold Medal shall be submitted by either the chief executive of the medium / small scale industry or by at least two members of SAME in Format-B.
No nomination will be considered for evaluation if received beyond the last date prescribed by the National Governing Council of SAME.
After approval of the recommendations of the selection committee by the National Governing Council of SAME, the names of the recipients will be made public. The awards will be presented in a SAME Function commensurating with the occasion by persons of high eminence and repute.
SAME AWARDS 2020 – LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF NOMINATIONS IS FURTHER EXTENDED UPTO 18th December 2020
To recognize the outstanding and innovative contributions in the field of Aerospace Manufacturing, the Society of Aerospace Manufacturing Engineers (SAME) has instituted a number of awards. The awards are annually presented to deserving candidates selected by National Level Committee comprising of eminent personalities in the field of Aerospace Manufacturing. The Society invites nominations for awards for the year 2018 as detailed in Enclosure.
Nominations for ANWESHAK/PRODYOGIKI/YUVA ANWESHAK/ UDYAMIK awards are invited in the prescribed Format-A from the Head of the institutions/organizations/industries. Nominations for the SAME Gold Medal for small/medium scale industry will be either from the Chief Executive of the industry or from at least 2 SAME members in Format-B.
The Society also invites nominations for awards for the BEST PROJECT AWARD for the year 2020. This award carries a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-.
Nominations for BEST PROJECTS done by Graduate Engineering Students (B.E/B.tech) in the field of Manufacturing in the last 2 years are invited in the prescribed Format-C from the Head of the institution. Only one project nomination allowed from each institution with a group of maximum 5 students.
